If your windows could speak, what would they say? Antonisia said: "That is the question I had in mind when I put these particular montages together. I wanted to reflect on what we sometimes get up to ‘behind closed doors’ and represent it photographically. I also decided to use many different images of windows within the final montage so that wherever the viewer decided to look, it would be as though they were either looking out of or through a window."

The viewer can reflect once again on the initial question posed above which was what would your windows say if they could speak? Would they be embarrassed, bored, angry, or proud etc? Everyone, even if they do not have a partner, have their moments of ‘intimacy’ and it should be said that intimacy in its many forms is a wonderful thing.

The use of black and white photography was used to guide the viewer’s thoughts towards what type of intimacy they engage in within their own rooms? The lack of colour, as with several previous series, does make a big difference because it focuses the mind in a way that nothing else could.

A series about what goes on behind our windows and doors - the intimacy that only we really know and understand
