Million Dollar Heart focuses on the tragic world of the homeless of east London and tells the story of the danger and issues that face them day to day, while showing their personal and human side. Antonisia took the pictures at various locations in the East End and developed a relationship and rapport during the project which has allowed her pictures to become very intimate and to tell a story.

Antonisia said: "I have entitled this work ‘Million Dollar Heart’ because of a chance walk through ‘Theatreland’ in the West End when I was being shown some of the ‘haunts’ of the London homeless and discovering that the play ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ was showing.

"Seeing this description of riches juxtaposed with some of the poorest in society sleeping on the street outside tore at my heartstrings and I started to realize even more just how much inequality exists in our world today.

"By calling my project Million Dollar Heart, I wanted to make viewers stop and think ‘is it right that these people should have nothing when I have so much in comparison to them?’ I also wanted the project to reflect how big and kind the hearts are of the homeless people I met. They may not have a million dollars in cash, but they have a million dollar way of seeing the world and approach to humanity."
